Phase Contrast Microscopy
(PCM) Analysis
One means of testing the
airborne fiber levels before, during, and subsequent to asbestos abatement
activities is through the use of Phase Contrast Microscopy (PCM) analysis.
These samples are taken before, during, and after asbestos abatement activities
to document asbestos fiber concentrations as background levels, inside-the-work-area
levels, and outside-the-work-area levels. This information can be used to
establish airborne fiber concentrations, monitor the effectiveness of the
asbestos abatement operations, and provide assurance that airborne fibers are
not exiting the containment barriers.
Environmental Support Network, Inc.
provides Phase Contrast Microscopy Analysis and often provides turnaround time
within 24 hours. This gives building owners assurance that their project is
being conducted safely and in the best interests of their assets.
